“The Road to Hope: Fr. Paisios and the Mission Without Wheels”

In the remote hills of Kenya, the sun rises over dusty roads and scattered villages where faith still burns brightly — though life is not easy. Along these winding paths travels a man in a faded cassock and sandals, carrying not only a Bible but also hope — Fr. Paisios, a humble Orthodox missionary.

Every week, Fr. Paisios walks long distances or depends on the kindness of passing motorists to reach the faithful scattered across villages. He visits small communities, teaches catechism , baptizes children in rivers, and celebrates the Divine Liturgy in makeshift chapels built from tin and mud. His heart is willing, his calling strong — but his mission is slowed by the miles of dust and struggle between one village and the next.

On Sundays, he often begins his journey before dawn. If the rains come, the paths turn into rivers of mud. Once, on his way to serve the Divine Liturgy, his borrowed motorcycle broke down, and he walked the final 10 kilometers carrying his vestments and Holy Gifts wrapped in a bag. When he finally arrived, exhausted and covered in dust, the villagers were waiting. They had been fasting and praying all morning, hoping their priest would come. Their joy was overwhelming — and so was his.

Now, the mission has grown. Fr. Paisios oversees five villages, visits schools, and supports orphans and widows. But without a reliable means of transport, much of this holy work is delayed, and many souls go unserved.

That is why we are appealing to you — friends and supporters of mission work — to help provide a small, reliable mission vehicle for Fr. Paisios.
With your support, he can bring the sacraments, food, and hope to many more families. A vehicle would not be a luxury — it would be a vessel of grace, turning long, weary miles into journeys of love and service.

Every contribution, big or small, will be a brick on the road to hope. Together, we can help Fr. Paisios continue his sacred mission — faster, safer, and with renewed strength.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” – Romans 10:15

Support Fr. Paisios Mission Car Appeal.
Help us put wheels under his feet — and speed under his prayers.

The vehicle will cost ksh. 1,000,000 approximately USD 8500.

God bless you all!
